Julia Lindberg is a Latin Americanist who specializes in international development and economics. She holds a BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Central Florida and an MA in Latin American Studies from the University of Florida. Currently, she serves as Alternate Responsible Officer for the University of Florida's Exchange Visitor Program and helps J visitors maintain compliance with immigration regulations in the United States. Before joining UFIC, Julia worked for the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, UF Graduate Assistants United, and Orange County Public Schools. She lived in Chile for two years and has visited the Dominican Republic, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia.
In her free time, Julia enjoys traveling, learning about new languages and cultures, writing, and reading. She is fluent in English, Spanish, proficient in Portuguese, and would like to improve her Haitian Creole language skills. She aspires to be a U.S. Foreign Service Officer.
